Man of the Match at Mohali, Anil Kumble is back in business, taking
wickets in good numbers. The Karnataka spin-machine prised out eight
wickets in the match to torment the Englishmen yet again. In the first
innings, Kumble had reasonable success (19-6-52-2), but it was in the
second innings that he showed his real class (28.4-6-81-6). The googly
that bounces more is the latest trick up his sleeve. Kumble was in the
thick of action with the bat too, coming in as a night-watchman, and
playing a spirited knock of 37 (86 balls) while adding 53 valuable
runs for the second wicket with Deep Dasgupta.
