Paul Hoffmann

Born in Australia, Hoffmann developed into a forceful opening bowler for Scotland and his experienced has been vital in tight situations. Despite bowling in the Powerplays and at the death he managed to maintain an economy rate of just above four-an-over. Batting in the tail doesn't allow much opportunity, but the runs scored often come at a healthy rate with some meaty swings. After a long and loyal career, he hung his boots in August 2007, returning typically miserly figures of 9 overs for 43 in his final game against India at Glasgow.
