TEAMS
Ned Willsher was a tall and slim fast bowler - whose feats were more remarkable as he only had one lung - whose place in cricket history was assured when in 1862 he challenged the existing rules regarding the bowler's arm, deliberately bowling overarm at The Oval and being no-balled six times in succession by umpire John Lillywhite. Willsher and the other eight professionals in the England team walked off and play ended for the day and the MCC soon reworked the rules to allow overarm bowling. In 1868 he led a side on a tour of Canada and the United States.
