A left-arm spinner from Carlisle who has played for England Under-19s, Liam Trevaskis made himself Durham's first-choice slow-bowling pick across all formats in 2019. Although he was very much a supporting act in the Championship - bowling 149.3 overs across 14 innings - he enjoyed a solid Royal London campaign after making his List A debut, and was among Durham's leading bowlers in the Blast.

It was during a T20 fixture the previous year that Trevaskis came to prominence, tipping Lancashire into a heated dressing room inquest at Old Trafford as he took three wickets in a brilliant last over to hand Durham an unlikely win. In defending just six off the over, Trevaskis finished with a career-best 4 for 16 as Lancashire self-destructed.

He played every game in Durham's run to the Royal London Cup final in 2021, and the following summer produced a career-best 88 in the Championship at Hove. But even as his batting developed, Trevaskis struggled to justify his place with the ball in the Championship side. He played just twice in 2023 and agreed a move to Leicestershire at the end of the summer.
