South Africa v Australia
Wisden's review of the second Twenty20 International, South Africa v Australia
There is no such thing as enough at the Wanderers: Australia's 205 was the fourth-highest winning chase in Twenty20 internationals, and the third of them on this ground. Warner, striking the ball as cleanly as ever, and Maxwell, at his opportunist, unorthodox best, shared a thrilling stand of 161, an all-wicket record for Australia and for any fourth wicket. They started cautiously but timed their charge well - until both fell in sight of the finish. Maxwell sliced to deep cover with 12 required from eight balls; Warner was clean bowled by Rabada at the start of the final over. But two wides meant that Faulkner, unable to find the boundary, could scramble twos instead.
Man of the Match: D. A. Warner.
