Profile
Hammond Furlonge had a brief career, but his finest hour came when he scored 57 and an unbeaten 150 to enable Trinidad to draw with the touring Australians in 1954-55. It was his maiden hundred in only his third first-class outing, and earned him a call-up for the final Test of that series at Kingston, and he was retained for the following tour of New Zealand the following winter where he played twice more. In his final Test, at Auckland, he made 64 out of 145, but after returning home he never featured in the selectors' minds again and soon drifted out of the game altogether.
