Blessing Mahwire won the toss and chose to bat in the two-day tour opener against the Australians at the Zimbabwe Cricket Academy. The Australians have been given permission to rotate all 13 members of their squad during the match, in preparation for the opening Test which starts on Saturday.
None of Zimbabwe's rebels were named in the A side which contains just two players with Test experience - batsman Vusi Sibanda and Mahwire, who was reported for bowling with a suspect action during the first Test against Sri Lanka.
