Yorkshire give Naved-ul-Hasan permit deadline

Pakistan fast bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan has been given until 5pm on May 1 to rejoin the Yorkshire squad otherwise his contract will be terminated.
Naved-ul-Hasan has been making every effort to resolve ongoing issues in obtaining a work permit which the county admitted was "outside the control of both club and player".
However, the uncertainty as to when, and even if, he will be able to join Yorkshire led to them advising him of the deadline.
A county spokesman said that "he does appreciate the club's desire to move into the season with a full squad, which is obviously not possible in his absence".
