At Kimberley, North West's victory meant they climbed the ladder to finish third on the Super Sixes log, while Griqualand West were left with the wooden spoon. Declaring early in the morning session, North West set Griquas a target of 393 that proved way beyond them and they were bowled out for 253. A maiden first-class hundred for Jason Brooker was never going to be enough as wickets tumbled around him.

At Port Elizabeth, Eastern Province took 19 overs on the final morning to record a win over the Shield leaders. Set a target of 264, Northerns fell short by 45 runs with Johan Botha returning career-best figures of 6 for 42. The win jumps Province into the third in the table, although Northerns maintain their lead.

Easterns proved to be far too strong for Boland as they ran away with an innings win at Boland Park. Set to make 199, Boland were bowled out before lunch, failing by six runs to make Easterns bat again. Mark Sanders with 66 and Willem Smit with 58 the only batsmen to trouble the Easterns attack of which Adolf van den Berg took a career-best 5 for 49. The win allowed Easterns to close in on log leaders Northerns.
