The International Cricket Council has allowed England, Pakistan and South Africa to call up replacements for injured players ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy which gets underway on September 10.
England have included Alex Wharf in place of Kabir Ali, after Wharf took Ali's place in the NatWest Challenge matches against India. The ICC's technical committee has also allowed Pakistan to replace the injured Shabbir Ahmed with Azhar Mahmood, who has been playing county cricket for Surrey.
South Africa have also made a change, including Charl Langeveldt in place of Andre Nel. The tournament regulations allow for replacements in case of injury, illness or other exceptional circumstances.
The next team to join the replacement train could well be India, with Sachin Tendulkar's tennis elbow making him a doubtful participant.
