On the final day of the latest round of Championship matches, Ben Hutton's 126 wasn't enough to save Middlesex from an innings defeat at Lord's. Ed Joyce and Paul Weekes also chipped in with half-centuries, but Warwickshire stayed at the top of Division One after the win. Elsewhere, Glen Chapple's 102 for Lancashire was in vain as Kent passed the required target of 88 to win only three wickets down, while Worcestershire recorded a comfortable nine-wicket win against Northants. In Division Two, yesterday's late collapse from Essex, prompted by Darren Lehmann's 4 for 35, gave Yorkshire an easy win at Chelmsford. Glamorgan overpowered Somerset, despite a century from Ian Blackwell, by eight wickets at Swansea, and Leicestershire beat Derbyshire by six wickets at Oakham School.
