Austrian cricket received a second VIP visit from Sri Lanka in under a week, with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tyronne Fernando visiting Concordia CC's Markommannenstrasse ground on Saturday 12th July, as part of a visit to Austria.
Mr Fernando, met Sivabala Nadarajah, Chairman of Concordia CC and the Austrian Cricket Association's Cricket Development Officer, and Michael Bailey, the Austrian Cricket Association Secretary, as well as a deputation from the newly-reformed Sri Lankan Cricket Club, National Team coach Gary Palmer and members of the Austrian National Team Squad, including Sri Lankan-born leg-spinning prodigy Lakmal Kasturiarachchige, and was presented with an Austrian National Team shirt and various other gifts.
He wished Austria well in their preparations for the ECC Notts Sport® Trophy and for the Austrian Cricket Association's efforts in promoting the game in Austria.
