The National Under-19 selection panel has named 30 players who will attend a training camp at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria from 06th to 12th January 2004.

The following players are representing South Africa in the Commonwealth U/19 competition in India from 28th December through to 11th January 2004. They will miss the training camp if they progress to play in the final on the eleventh.

The following players including Jaco Booysen and Vincenzzo Pennazza are out of school but are still eligible to represent South Africa in the ICC World Cup tournament.

After the training camp the squad will be reduced to the required 14 players who will travel to Bangladesh to represent South Africa in the fourth ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup from 10th February to 06th March next year.
