After taking advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London and the British High Commission in Zimbabwe, the Emerging Nations Tournament scheduled to take place in Harare between 5th and 13th April will proceed as planned.

In view of the security situation in Zimbabwe, advice was taken before clearance was given for Denmark, Holland, Ireland, Kenya and Scotland to join Zimbabwe A in the round-robin tournament constituting part of ICC Cricket.next.com Cricket Week 2000.

ICC is monitoring the situation continuously and, should there be any deterioration resulting in a threat to the safety of the teams, immediate action will be taken.
