Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mashud, the wicketkeeper who was omitted from the World Cup squad, has been named in the A squad to face England A in two four-day Tests.
Mashud was the most notable absentee from Bangladesh's World Cup 15, with his recent poor batting form costing him his place which went to Mushfiqur Rahim. But he will bring his experience to the A squad against a strong England team captained by Michael Yardy.
The Bangladesh side will be led by Tushar Imran, who has played four Tests and 37 ODIs, while Enamul Haque Jr, the left-arm spinner, is also included.
The first of the four-day matches starts on February 22 at Mirpur.
