Officials from both Pakistan and England's cricket boards confirmed that the ODI scheduled for Karachi on December 15 will go ahead, despite a bomb blast earlier this month.
Fresh concerns had been raised by the attack - England had already refused to play a Test in the city - but David Morgan, the ECB chairman, said: "We are scheduled to play a one-day international in Karachi and as of now the match is on, but we will continue to review the security situation. We reviewed the Karachi situation and as things stand, with still 15 days left in the match, we will continue to review the situation before travelling there.
"Clearly we have to keep the [security] position under review because there are some days yet before we travel there. It has to be safe and secure, and the indications currently are that it will be."
Shaharyar Khan, the PCB chairman, said that a report on the attack had been passed to both the ECB and the UK High Commission in Islamabad.
