India v ZImbabwe
At Hyderabad, March 16 (day/night)
15-Apr-2003
At Hyderabad, March 16 (day/night). India won by five wickets. Toss: Zimbabwe. International
debut: M. Kartik.
India were looking down the barrel at a series loss when they were reduced to 132 for four in
the 32nd over, chasing 241. But Yuvraj Singh, whose double-hundred in the Duleep Trophy had
earned him his first recall since he toured South Africa in October, hammered 80 unbeaten runs
in 60 balls to keep the series alive. Yuvraj and Kaif, who had helped India to win the Under-19
World Cup two years earlier, breathed much-needed life into the suspect middle order, adding 94
runs in 15 overs to set up a convincing victory. In Zimbabwe's innings, the honours were shared
between Andy Flower, with a fine 89, and a four-wicket return by Agarkar.
Man of the Match: Yuvraj Singh.
