Hampshire in talks with Ryan Sidebottom

Speaking at the Press conference this morning to introduce new signing Billy Taylor on a three year deal from Sussex, Tim Tremlett, Hampshire's Director of Cricket stated the the club were also in negotiations with Yorkshire's Ryan Sidebottom.

Sidebottom who has been released by Yorkshire by mutual consent, has already spoken to the club, and is due speak again very soon.

Sidebottom, who has played one test and two One-Day Internationals for England, had limited opportunities in the past season at Yorkshire.

"His record speaks for itself," said Tremlett, "a proven bowler who would be an assett to Hampshire".
