Hampshire award benefits to Stephenson and Udal

Hampshire have announced that they have awarded benefits to John Stephenson in 2001, and Shaun Udal in 2002

Hampshire have announced that they have awarded benefits to John Stephenson in 2001, and Shaun Udal in 2002.
John Stephenson (35) joined Hampshire from Essex in 1995, and captained the side for two years in 1996 and 1997. A quality all-rounder he played in one test match whilst with Essex, for England against Australia at The Oval in 1989.
Shaun Udal (31) joined Hampshire in 1988 making his first-class debut the following year. Currently the club vice captain, he is enjoying some of the best cricket of his career under the captaincy of Robin Smith. Shaun played 10 One-Day Internationals for England in 1994 and 1995.
Remarking on the benefit award, Shaun said he was really delighted to have been chosen, "It will be my 15th season with the club, and is a great honour for a Hampshire born and bred cricketer"
