New South Wales wicket-keeper batsman, Brad Haddin, has claimed a $150,000 prize for hitting a Mercantile Mutual Cup sign on the full at the WACA Ground this afternoon.
Haddin hit a six off the bowling of Western Warriors allrounder Darren Wates to claim the prize which began at $10,000 on October 10, 1999 and has jackpotted $10,000 with each match.
The 22-year-old right-hander is the third New South Welshman to win the cash after Shane Lee's success last summer and Steve Waugh in 1995-96. The current Australian captain was the first player to claim the bonus, collecting $140,000 at the WACA Ground in 1995-96.
