Glamorgan 238 for 8 beat Yorkshire 237 by one run at Colwyn Bay
Scorecard
Matthew Hoggard's comeback match ended in disappointment, as Glamorgan snuck to a thrilling last-ball victory at Colwyn Bay. Hoggard, who had earlier picked up two wickets and a catch in Glamorgan's total of 238 for 8, was left to score two runs from the final delivery of the match, but he was unable to pierce the field and his partner Darren Gough was run out going for the tie. Glamorgan's hero was Mike Kasprowicz, who held his nerve in that final over to finish with figures of 3 for 39. Earlier Michael Powell (61) and Jimmy Maher (53) both made half-centuries, with Steve Kirby coming in for some serious tap - he conceded 37 off four overs. Michael Lumb's superb 92 off 94 balls looked to have set up a victory for Yorkshire, but there was a twist in the tale.
Warwickshire 213 for 6 beat Kent 212 by four wickets at Edgbaston
Scorecard
Waqar Younis provided a glimpse of his old self, as Warwickshire eased past Kent with 16 balls to spare at Edgbaston. After winning the toss and bowling first, Warwickshire restricted Kent to 212, with Waqar picking up 4 for 20 in 8.5 overs, including three brisk wickets in his final spell. Kent owed their total to Matt Walker, who top-scored with 72, and the wicketkeeper Geraint Jones, who pushed his claims for an England tour place with 40. Neil Carter launched Warwickshire's reply with a blistering 31 from 20 balls, but it was a more sedate 66 from Mark Wagh that provided the backbone to the run-chase.
Gloucester 148 for 6 beat Worcestershire 146 by four wickets at New Road
Scorecard
Vikram Solanki and Graeme Hick fell for ducks in consecutive deliveries from Mike Smith, as Gloucestershire trounced Worcestershire in the dress rehearsal for next week's C&G final at Lord's. Worcestershire were never able to recover from that disastrous opening over, and limped to a meagre total of 146, with Mark Alleyne cashing in with figures of 4 for 26. Gloucestershire were made to scrap by Mark Harrity and Nantie Hayward, but Alex Gidman continued his fine form to seal the win with an unbeaten 66.

Derbyshire 254 for 7 beat Northamptonshire 251 for 5 by three wickets at Derby
Scorecard
Michael Di Venuto walloped 130 from 104 balls, including 18 fours, as Derbyshire beat Northants at the Racehorse Ground. Chasing 252, Di Venuto led the way with his blazing knock which overshadowed that of his fellow Australian, Mike Hussey, who hit 103. Northants's Mike Powell was also in the runs with 70, but their total of 251 was not enough as Derbyshire got home with two overs to spare, despite the last four wickets tumbling for 33.
Durham 132 for 3 beat Hampshire 131 by seven wickets at Durham
Scorecard
Nicky Peng and Paul Collingwood led Durham to a low-scoring victory against Hampshire at Chester-le-Street. Graeme Bridge took 4 for 20 and Steve Harmison 3 for 31 as Hampshire were bundled out for 131, Chaminda Vaas top-scoring with 28 not out. Vaas then struck twice early in Durham's reply, but Peng (56) and Collingwood (48) put on 98 as Durham cruised home with twenty overs to spare.
Nottinghamshire 292 beat Sussex 221 by 71 runs at Trent Bridge
Scorecard
They may be top of the Championship, but Sussex remained rooted to the bottom of the National League as they went down by 71 runs against Notts at Trent Bridge. After Robin Martin-Jenkins (4 for 50) had reduced Notts to 99 for 4, Chris Cairns (91* from 72) and Chris Read (79* from 73) put on 165 to boost them to a daunting 292. Sussex made a decent start, but Cairns (3 for 48) and David Lucas (3 for 52) made regular inroads into their innings. Despite a fighting 47 from Bas Zuiderent, Sussex ran out of puff and stumbled to 221.
