Ganga named T&T cricketer of the year

Trinidad and Tobago captain Daren Ganga has been named the T&T cricket board (TTCB) cricketer of the year.

Ganga, who led T&T to both the Carib Beer Challenge trophy and KFC Cup titles this year, also received the TTCB president's award, while West Indian allrounder Dwayne Bravo was named the international player of the year.

Newcomers on the T&T team, Kieron Pollard and Adrian Barath were named among the TTCB's five senior cricketers of the year. The other three cricketers of the year included Ravi Rampaul, who made a successful return to the team in the 2007 Carib Beer Regional Series, Ganga, and the leading wicket-taker in the Carib Beer Series, offspinner Amit Jaggernauth.
