Further to the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Media Release issued
earlier today (Monday 10 February), the England and Wales Cricket Board
(ECB) wishes to make clear that it was the ICC's own World Cup Security
Directorate which was the source of the 'new information' provided by ECB to
the ICC yesterday evening with regard to the safety and security of England
players and officials in Zimbabwe.
The information contained advice received from the Crime Intelligence Head
Office of the South African Police Services, based on reports that had
emanated from the South African Security Services and Interpol (National
Crime Bureau, Pretoria).
