Dinesh Karthik has been included in the Indian squad in place of Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the last one-day international against England at Indore. Rahul Dravid, who was rested for two matches, comes back as well while Ajit Agarkar has been left out.
Karthik was a regular member of the Test side in the 2004-05 season, and also played two one-day internationals against England in the 2004 NatWest Challenge. However, lack of runs cost him his place in the side, as Dhoni took over. Karthik has also been selected in the India A squad for the six-nation EurAsia Cricket Series at Abu Dhabi starting on April 22.
This is the first time Dhoni is missing an ODI since his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh.
