Scorecard
Victoria declared 212 runs behind Queensland in a desperate bid to set up a result on a rain-affected day at the MCG. The Bushrangers need an outright victory to stay in contention for a final berth, and Cameron White closed the innings at tea with his side 4 for 204, still 212 behind. Jason Arnberger scored the five runs needed for his century in the first session, in which only 7.5 overs were possible because of rain. He fell for 103 when caught behind off Ashley Noffke, and Mitchell Johnson added a second wicket when he dismissed Jonathan Moss.
Queensland ended the day on 4 for 129, an overall lead of 341, with Lachlan Stevens giving them some momentum with a quick 45. Clinton Perren also chipped in at the top of the order as Victoria's chances of making it to the final rapidly faded.
