Cricket Aid arranged a day of entertainment on Sunday 13th February 2005 at Galle International Stadium for Children and families affected by the Tsunami disaster. Kids and families of sixteen camps in the districts of Galle and Matara enjoyed a day of fun and entertainment. Five groups played a game of softball cricket against the Sri Lanka National Team. Some kids were overjoyed by the entertainment of Music.
Mr. Thilanga Sumathipala - Chairman of Cricket-Aid with past Cricketers, officials and invitees watched a day of smiles by these kids and families.
Mr. Sumathipala said "Cricket-Aid arranged this day of entertainment to uplift the moral of the kids and the families who were affected by this disaster.
He further added the concept and the aim of this outing is to give the affected kids and the parents the much needed mental satisfaction".
