Muneeb "Sammy" Diwan,
and Damien Mills successfully completed a tour to India with the
Ilford Cricket Club. Both members of the Canadian Squad to the
recent rain plagued Red Stripe Event in the Leeward Islands in
1999, must be commended for their drive and initiative in not
only defying enormous odds, but also having quite successful
performances on field. Manitoba Cricket Association supporters
of Damien should be very proud for their efforts on Damien's
behalf. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WITH THE JUNIORS!!
Sincere thanks to Sonnet C.C., the Prabhakars, and all hosts,
players and teams in India.
Meanwhile, another Donald King Award scholarship winner, Andrew
Bracht, is completing his training in Melbourne. Thanks are due
in part to Jeff Harris, to Peter Spence, & other ACB members for
vital CCA support. Continued successes Andrew, Sammy, Damien!
