An unbeaten century from Floyd Reifer set up a 49-run win for Barbados over Trinidad and Tobago in the Red Stripe Bowl semi-final at the Kaiser Sports Club, Discovery Bay, Jamaica.
Reifer arrived at the crease with his team in trouble at 24 for 2 after the departure of the two Test players, captain Sherwin Campbell and Adrian Griffith. Worse was to follow when Dale Richards went for a duck without addition to the score, but Reifer then put on 105 for the fourth wicket with Ryan Hinds, who made 36.
After Courtney Browne went for 15, Ian Bradshaw (30*) kept Reifer company for the remainder of the Barbados innings. Reifer finished on 104* in a total of 219 for 5.
When Trinidad and Tobago batted they failed to put a partnership of any substance together. Daren Ganga made the top score of 37, while Hendy Bryan (3/34) and Pedro Collins (2/16) held the batmen in their thrall. Trinidad and Tobago could muster only 170 for 9 in their 50 overs.
The final will be contested by Barbados and Guyana.
