Bangladesh will face Scotland in two matches prior to the ICC Champions Trophy in England in September. Both of the one-day warm-ups will take place at The Grange in Edinburgh, on September 1 and 3.
The last time the two sides met was also at The Grange, at the 1999 World Cup, when Bangladesh scraped home by 22 runs after Scotland collapsed chasing 186 to win. Craig Wright, Scotland's captain, told The Scotsman: "It will be interesting to see how they have progressed since we were narrowly defeated by Bangladesh at the World Cup in 1999. The previous year, we defeated Bangladesh twice."
After a disappointing showing at the ECC European Championships last month, Scotland's next challenge is an Intercontinental Cup match against Ireland, starting on August 6 in Dublin. The winner of the three-day match will progress to the final stages of the tournament, to be played in the United Arab Emirates in the autumn.
