Arnold leads President's XI

Russel Arnold will have a chance to impress Sri Lanka's selectors, who will now be mulling over selection for the Test squad, when he captains a Sri Lanka Cricket President's XI against England next week.

Arnold leads a 14-man squad that includes Michael Vandort, a top-order batsmen also in contention for a Test spot, and Dilhara Fernando, who will be aiming to prove his fitness and form following his recovery from a back injury.

England will be hoping for improved weather as the focus turns back to Test cricket on Monday. They are scheduled to play a solitary three-day practice match before the first Test at Colombo Cricket Club starting on December 2.
