2002 Pre-season supporters' tour to South Africa

Once again, Gloucestershire will be travelling to sunny South Africa for our pre-season training. As before we will be based in the beautiful Cape Province and playing against some of the country's best cricketers.
We will also be taking on some other UK county teams in the Boland Festival, which is held at the stunning Paarl Stadium. These one-day matches will be played both during the day and as day/night fixtures, allowing you to savour the real South African atmosphere.
You will be based in cosmopolitan Cape Town, the beautiful old town of Stellenbosch and Paarl, making this a trip of a lifetime. For those interested in food and wine, this is the heart of the Cape Winelands and with the current exchange rate; you are in for a wonderful time.
A cocktail party with the players and a Winelands Tour have been arranged to give you the perfect escape from the English Winter. Other optional tours and holiday extensions are also available.

Your basic itinerary is as follows:
| 26th March | Overnight flight direct to Cape Town |
| 27th March | Arrive Cape Town International Airport and transfer to Stellenbosch. |
| After lunch, watch GCCC vs. Warwickshire CCC - Day match (Stellenbosch University Oval) | |
| followed by an evening players function at the Lanzerac Manor. | |
| 28th March | GCCC vs. Warwickshire CCC - Day match (Stellenbosch University Oval) |
| 29th March | Full day tour of the Robertson Wine Route, the most beautiful wine route in South Africa. |
| 30th March | Early morning transfer to Cape Town. Having checked-in at your Waterfront hotel, you have the option of watching GCCC vs. Warwickshire CCC - Day 1 of 3 (Athlone) or simply enjoy the many delights of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. |
| 31st March | Day at leisure or Day 2 GCCC vs. Warwickshire CCC (optional tours availableplease check with Mike or Cheryl) |
| 1st April | Day at leisure or Day 3 GCCC vs. Warwickshire CCC (optional tours availableplease check with Mike or Cheryl) |
| 2nd April | Day at leisureoptional tours availableplease check with Mike or Cheryl. |
| 3rd April | Watch 1st day of Boland festival (1 day game) at Paarl Stadium. |
| 4th April | Watch 2nd game (day/night game) |
| 5th April | Watch 3rd game of Boland festival. |
| 6th April | Day at leisure. Late afternoon transfer to Cape Town International Airport for overnight flight to London. |
| 7th April | Arrive London Heathrow early morning. |
