An injured toe kept Sachin Tendulkar out of International cricket for three months. A specially designed shoe from South Africa ensured that he returned to action in the land of the Proteas. At The Wanderers, Tendulkar started off slowly, leaving all the attacking job to his skipper Sourav Ganguly. Even though he was a bit rusty to start with he made good use of the wonderful batting conditions to score his 30th One-Day International century. Tendulkar was helped by the three dropped catches as he went on to make 101 runs off 129 balls with the help of nine boundaries. This was his third ODI hundred against South Africa and his first away from India.
