GC: This is a disappointing time for cricket. Obviously we'd like to believe that cricket is a clean game and that everybody played for the love of the game but we also have to understand that human nature being what it is, there are always bound to be some people who are going to be tempted. Cricket is a big business and obviously there is a lot of money involved in gambling on cricket. I think the game certainly can deal with it. I don't think the damage is irreparable. Rather than look back, I think we should look to the future and say that this is going to be the catalyst to clean up the game. This is an opportunity to make sure that cricket is a strong game. I think we'll look back in 10 years time and say that this was the watershed that brought to everybody's conciousness just how deep this has gone. Therefore the will must be there to clean up the game and get rid of the people who were involved in fixing matches and in tampering with matches. I hope we can look back at this period in ten years time and say that it was a sad chapter for the game and yet it brought about the cleansing of the game and made it stronger for the future.
