Prince to lead South Africa A

The National Selectors panel has announced a strong South African `A' side that will take on their Sri Lankan counterparts in three One-Day and two 4-day matches from 26th September to 15th October.

The One-Day squad is as follows:

Morne van Wyk (wk)              Free State Eagles

Morne van Wyk of Free State Eagles and Loots Bosman of Griquas Diamonds have only been selected for the one-day matches.

Batsmen, left-handed Andrew Puttick of Western Province, right-handed Alviro Petersen of Northerns Titans and wicket-keeper/batsman Thami Tsolekile of Western Province will join the squad for the two 4-day matches.

The Sri Lankans have their itinerary as follows:

Fri 26 Sept  (D/N) v South Africa A                  Potchefstroom Oval
Sun 28 Sept  (Day) v South Africa A                  Willowmoore Park
Wed 01 Oct   (D/N) v South Africa A                  Supersport Park, Centurion
Fri 03-05 Oct      v National Academy                Potchefstroom Oval
Tue 07-10 Oct      v South Africa A                  Willowmoore Park, Benoni
Sun 12-15 Oct      v South Africa A                  Potchefstroom Oval

The Day/Night One-Day matches will commence at 14:30 and a day match will commence at 10:00.

Three-Day and Four-Day Matches will start at 10:00.
