Tickets On Sale For ICC Champions Trophy

Tickets for next month's ICC Champions Trophy tournament in Colombo, Sri Lanka are now on sale.

The cost of watching the world's leading international teams play 15 matches in 18 days has been set at lower than usual domestic Sri Lankan prices, to give local fans every opportunity of witnessing heroes of world cricket. For overseas visitors used to paying considerably higher prices for top class One-Day-International cricket, the tournament offers unparalleled value-for-money cricket watching, besides enjoying the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality.

Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan in the opening match at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on the 12th of September, preceded by the opening ceremony.

In all, nine of the tournament's 15 matches will be day-night fixtures at the Premadasa Stadium, adding variety and atmosphere to the tournament. They include the final, the two semi-finals and six preliminary round matches. The Sinhalese Sports Club will host the other six preliminary round matches.

Each of the 12 competing nations will play two games in the preliminary round of the tournament between the 12th and 23rd of September. The semi finals will take place on Wednesday 25th and Friday 27th, and the final scheduled for Sunday 29th September, with the next day being provided for reserve days.
