Yorkshire all-rounder Craig White was today ruled out of the England squad for the 3rd npower Test at Headingley through injury.
White underwent a scan earlier today which revealed an abdominal muscle tear and he is expected to be out of cricket for between two to four weeks.
White, who made 94 not out in the Trent Bridge Test, returned to the Test side at Lord's against India and was recently named in England's ICC Trophy squad to tour Sri Lanka this autumn.
The Hampshire batsman John Crawley underwent a scan today which revealed no cartilage tear in his left knee. He will continue to receive intensive treatment on the knee overnight and while no decision has yet been made on his involvement in Hampshire's next four-day Frizzell County Championship match against Somerset starting tomorrow, it is expected that he will be fit for the Headingley Test.
Lancashire all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has undergone a scan today on his injured groin and the England medical team is currently awaiting the results. It is anticipated that a further update will not be available until tomorrow.
England's other injury concern, Dominic Cork, will undergo a scan this Thursday on the knee he injured in the field during the 2nd npower Test at Trent Bridge. He will not play for Derbyshire in their four-day Frizzell County Championship match against Worcestershire starting tomorrow.
