Good Morning all, we have the NatWest Challenge 2nd One-Dayer,
England v Pakistan for you today and the venue is The Oval.
Pakistan lead the 3-match series 1-0 after squeezing in a late win
at the Old Trafford in a D/N match by 2 wickets and 4 balls to
spare.
Today plans have been announced to enhance security to try and stop
a pitch invasion and it remains to be seen if Pakistan supporters
will be running on to celebrate another victory as it depends on
whether England's batsmen can come to terms with
Pakistan's attack.
Both teams are somewhat inexperienced and England will be going all
out to equalise the series but with a possible return of Shoaib
Akhtar, Pakistan would want to wrap-up the series on this pitch,
normally thought of as the quickest in England.
At Old Trafford we saw the ball dominating in a low scoring game
with neither side able to put up a big total.
Weather is warm (for England!) and play should start on time.
Toss has been won by Pakistan and the will be batting first.
England are fielding an unchanged side while Pakistan have brought
in Shoaib for Umar Gul.
Pitch is firm and expected to be fast and Rashid said he took Azhar
Mahmood's advice as he is playing for Surrey to bat first.
