Aus won by 8 wickets Eng 352 (Larkins 64, Gower 100, Stewart 79, Reid 6-97) and 150 (Gooch 58, Larkins 54, Reid 7-51) Aus 306 (Taylor 61, Border 62, Fraser 6-82) and 197/2 (Marsh 79*, Boon 94*) 3rd test at Sydney. Drawn Aus 518 (Boon 97, Border 78, Jones 60, Matthews 128) and 205 (Tuffnell 5-61) Eng 469/8 dec (Gooch 59, Atherton 105, Gower 123, Stewart 91) and 113/4 (Gooch 54) 4th test at Adelaide.
