Profile
George Codrington is one of Canada's seasoned pros, a member of the side for more than a decade and a valuable allrounder who bats in the middle order and bowls medium-pace. Barbados-born, Codrington had trials in 1988 with Leicestershire, making a handful of 2nd XI appearances, and was in and out of the Canada side since making his debut in the late 1990s. In 2006 he captained the side in South Africa in the absence of John Davison, winning the Man-of-the-Match award for his career-best 4 for 33 in the win over Bermuda. His form after that, however, was patchy, and at 40 the World Cup was his last hurrah and he retired following Canada's disappointing exit.
