With Australia already 3-0 up, the five-match series is over as a contest but there is the small question of pride for West Indies as they head into Friday's fourth match hoping to end all talk of a whitewash. Combined with a poor performance all-round from West Indies, all three matches have been one-sided affairs. West Indies are better than they have shown so far and they should be able to win one of the final two matches, if they can cut out the errors and use their brains. The biggest thing in their favour, though, could be the fact that for Australia, the job is done, the series is won. The world champions are the most ruthless side in the world and there is no doubt that they would like a whitewash but is simply a matter of human nature that they will struggle to find the same intensity for the final two matches - both dead rubbers. Chris Gayle, who is due a big innings, is 3/1 and Ramnaresh Sarwan is 4/1. Behind them, Xavier Marshall is 9/2 and then there is a big gap to Dwayne Bravo at 7/1, though the all-rounder is not out of contention as he is a fine player and an excellent competitior, especially in one-day matches. For Australia, new-find Shan Marsh, who is opening the batting, shares favouritism at 3/1 alongside his captain Ricky Ponting, who will want to make a big score himself after a few relative failures. Shane Watson is 4/1, Michael Clarke 9/2 and Michael Hussey 11/2, while Andrew Symonds is a tempting bet at 6/1. Motivation is a key factor when it comes to betting and that makes West Indies a generous price at 5/2. Let's just hope they put it all together for once.
