Glenn McGrath showed he wasn't washed up with his one-two of Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook in consecutive balls. The first wicket was more a batsman's mistake but the second was vintage McGrath. It was as if he'd transported himself back to the slope at Lord's.

Hussey drew blood from Brett Lee with his left shoe when he made a fine running take to dismiss Strauss. In the confusing race for the catch behind square-leg he clipped Lee above the knee, cutting the bowler's trousers and skin. He quickly left the ground to have the graze patched up.
