Moment of the day
Glenn McGrath showed he wasn't washed up with his one-two of Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook in consecutive balls. The first wicket was more a batsman's mistake but the second was vintage McGrath. It was as if he'd transported himself back to the slope at Lord's.
Dismissal of the Day
A cartwheeling off-stump makes for another easy choice. Michael Hussey's solid defence was broken by a brilliant Andrew Flintoff ball that darted back.
Lowlight of the Day
Steve Harmison's radar was again wonky, but he did get a wicket. Shane Warne somehow managed to brush another delivery sent wide down the leg side.
Injury of the day
Hussey drew blood from Brett Lee with his left shoe when he made a fine running take to dismiss Strauss. In the confusing race for the catch behind square-leg he clipped Lee above the knee, cutting the bowler's trousers and skin. He quickly left the ground to have the graze patched up.
Charity of the Day
The security guard at fine leg who pounced on a rogue beach-ball ... and lobbed it back into the stands to tremendous cheers. The fact that it was bedecked in green-and-gold colours surely didn't influence his decision?
Shot of the Day
Any of Ricky Ponting's would be worthy candidates, but the manner with which Ian Bell, still facing his third duck in a row against Australia, eased McGrath through the covers to get off the mark was class in a pint-sized glass.
